A Mouse that Wishes to be a Cat

from Epicentre Nights by Croydon Tourist Office

/

about

Shortly after Scaffolding Poles was recorded, after everyone had warmed up, this song was the first song recorded that evening. What you hear here is entirely live with no overdubs. Musicians and vocalists were separated by a partition for a clean sound.

lyrics

Here are some words which should exist
Polygdominium
Amphibiotus
Sagonsiderbrulation
Floblop
Combupew
Boyderation
Phraw
Hipslop
Kalobalob

I'm gonna get serious
Hesitation is the enemy of aspiration
But is aspiration simply a deviation of the norm?
As such, is a mouse that wishes to be a cat
Any less likely to be dinner for the cat?
Probably not
Well, whatever
Just thinking out loud

Oh dear

I know I shouldn't have liked the colour blue, but I always did
